Accommodation

Prestige Oceanfront Resort is comprised of standard rooms with either a king bed that sleeps 1 or 2, or 2 queens that sleep 1-4. They will offer discounted rates for Consultant Derby participants only of $199.95/night. Please call 1-877-737-8443 for reservations and mention you are with the derby for the special rates.

Sooke Harbour Resort is comprised of 2 and 3 bedroom townhouses. They offer rates as follows: – 2 bedroom (sleeps 4) $249/night, 3 bedroom (sleeps 6) $299. There is also a 2 bedroom penthouse available for $279/night. Please note these may be 2 night minimums and will come with launch and trailer parking. There are also a number of bed and breakfasts available in the Sooke area.

Moorage/Launching/Parking

While somewhat challenging, for the most part there will be no issue with parking at the Prestige (15 to 20 trailer stalls), the adjacent Jocks Dock (pay to park) and along the adjacent West Coast Road will be suitable for trailers.   There is also plenty of parking at the Prestige for people arriving without boats.   The new launch is now open at the Prestige, complete with deep launch ramp.  If you want to moor during the event, there may be options for smaller boats at Sooke Harbour Resort and the adjacent Jocks Dock, but please contact them to secure a spot (daily rate would apply).  It is a very busy time of year, so alternate moorage options may be required or you may need to pull your boat out of the water at weigh-in.   Alternatively, there are launches available at Sunny Shores Marina, Cheanuh Marina, and Pedder Bay Marina as shown on the map above.

If you find you cannot secure a boat and a skipper can’t be located, there is also the option of renting a boat through Pedder Bay Marina or Lucky Rentals.
